Chef Devon Quinn’s Mushroom Farro Risotto

This mushroom risotto from the Avondale restaurant Eden is packed full of herbal flavor, thanks to the many varieties of fresh herbs that Chef Devon Quinn grows for the restaurant in a nearby greenhouse. He might eventually grow the mushrooms himself, too: he told WTTW Food he wants to add a mushroom growing facility. Currently, he’s sourcing the mushrooms from Jacobson’s Farm in Antioch, Illinois.

It’s been an emotional journey and we’re overwhelmed with excitement to be reopening! While the location is new, Eden is still focused on the same approach of using garden-fresh, seasonal ingredients from our upgraded on-site greenhouse and local farms. We have also expanded our menu to include breakfast and lunch options to provide convenient and delicious options throughout the day.

Movies on the Mural

For the month of July, on a larger-than-life screen, Eden will be showing movies on our mural every Wednesday. Join us for dinner or drinks at Eden (1748 West Lake Street) around 7-7:30pm and stay for the film at 8:45pm. In addition to the full Eden menu, gelato, popcorn, candy, frosé, beer, and wine will be available for a complete movie experience. Table service will continue throughout the screening.
