What Has Been Growing this Summer in our Greenhouse

Summer is in full swing here at Eden and Chef Devon and the Eden team have been busy adding new items to our summer menus. We have plenty of new things growing in our greenhouse this season that are making their way into dishes at Eden. We spent some time out in the greenhouse this week with our gardener Demetrius to see what plants are being used in our dishes at Eden this summer.
Take a sneak peak into a few things currently growing in our greenhouse below, and check out the full list of what’s growing here.
Borage: Borage is a Mediterranean-native plant that we grow in our greenhouse to use as garnishes on our dishes.
Tomatoes: We are currently growing lots of tomato plants in our greenhouse, which we use in dishes such as our Little Gem Caesar, Grilled Flatbread Sabih and Eggplant Agnolotti.
Nasturtium: Another garnish for dishes we are currently growing is nasturtiums. The colors of nasturtiums range from a pale yellow to a vibrant orange.
Mint: Mint is used in many of our dishes at Eden, such as our Lamb & Beef Meatballs and Red Crab Vesuvio. We are currently growing about six different types of mint, including pineapple and orange. Pro tip: Chef Devon says to keep your mint separated from other plants in your garden, like we have pictured below, because it it’s mixed in it will spread and take over the entire garden.
