Sweet Treat for A Cause! Supporting our Local Community
Hephzibah Collaboration Dessert
Hephzibah Children’s Association is a charity that allows children to thrive and families to flourish by creating a nurturing and innovative environment for those in need. Offering short and long-term housing for children of severe neglect and abuse, Hephzibah is a cause that Paramount has grown to deeply care about. Our Founder and CEO Jodi Fyfe has been involved with the Oak Park-based organization for as long as she can remember and has nurtured a relationship between our two families for years. With our recently launched program, Paramount Serves Partners, we’re extending that relationship even further to ensure that children and families at Hephzibah always receive the care they need.
Hephzibah’s mission of healing families is a cause that hits close to home for those of us here at Paramount. “The Paramount Family,” is a phrase you’ll often hear around our facility because of the close working relationship between members of our sales team, warehouse staff, and the goals we set to achieve when one dines at Eden Restaurant. We aim to make everyone who works or dines here feel like a member of our family.
The Hephzibah Foster Youth Advisory Board was created to give foster youth between the ages of 12 and 21 a voice within Hephzibah and the local community. We invited three members of the board to come meet our Paramount family. After enjoying a delicious brunch at the Chef’s Counter, the children sat down with our Pastry Chef, Stefano Tulipano, to create a dish that incorporated all of their favorite flavors. The resulting masterpiece was a chocolate mousse paired with a coconut pineapple sauce, pistachio gelato, and angel food cake. The heavenly dish will make its debut on the Eden menu for the entire month of March, with proceeds from the dish to be donated back to Hephzibah. The dish also celebrates the Hephzibah’s Heart of Gold Ball that will be held at the Bridgeport Arts Center on March 3rd.

Jasmine, one of the contributors to this month’s dessert, said of her experience: “I’ve been in youth advisory for almost two and a half years, and of all the places we have visited, I can honestly say that none of them have felt like home as much as your restaurant [Eden]. You guys have an amazing place and it’s inspiring to see that you just want to keep building. Stefano is an amazing chef, but don’t tell anyone that pastries are my favorite part of a meal! Your baking is amazing and your personality is pleasing. I love all types of art including painting, singing, playing instruments, writing songs, and poetry, so to see you so passionate about your baking and cooking encourages me to be the best at what I really love too.”
